Thank you to all who came out for the SmartPhone Medic Firecracker 5k, Kids Fun Run & Cannonball Contest. We hope that you had a great race and enjoyed the event. We invite you back in the fall for the Fall Harvest 10k, 5k & Kids Event over Halloween Weekend. Stay tuned for 2012 Firecracker information.

The annual Firecracker 5K & Kids Fun Run is sure to get your holiday weekend started with a bang. For the novice to expert competitive runner, this road race features a medium to moderate course, fun & festive atmosphere and race participation qualifies you for a full day of fun splashing in the sun.

Course Info
Firecracker 5K: This is a loop course that starts & finishes at HFFA. These are open roads with a lead cyclist, course markers and police assistance for temporary road closings at heavy intersections. Course Map

Kids Fun Run: This is a 1 mile total up & back run that starts & finishes at HFFA. The race is run on Verhoeff Road which is closed for the race. An approximate .5 mile indictor is set up for those that choose to run half the distance.

Event Rules
Shirts- Firecracker shirts are guaranteed to the first 400 registered 5K participants. Kids Fun Run shirts are guaranteed to the first 50 registered participants. We will do our best to provide you with the shirt size you have requested however we cannot guarantee sizing.

Duration- All participants must complete the event in 1 hour or less. Official timing cannot be provided to participants failing to complete the race in this duration.

In-line Skates/Heely’s - Not permitted.

Strollers- Strollers are permitted at your own risk. A stroller leash is recommended. Participants with strollers must begin at the back of the pack.

Dogs- Friendly dogs are permitted on the race course. They must be leashed at all times, they are not permitted inside of HFFA, participants with dogs must begin at the back of the pack.

Refund Policy- No refunds will be issued. Event entries are non-transferable between persons, events or years.

Weather- In the event of inclement weather the race may be postponed or cancelled for the safety of the participants.

Stay & Play
Race registration includes a full day of play at HFFA so bring the family and your swim suits for post-race cool down. The DJ will be pool side at our Outdoor Family Splash Pool for a festive day of fun. Admission is included in race registration or completion of volunteering.

Cannonball Contest
New for 2011 - race registration includes admission to our Cannonball Contest. Contest will immediately follow the awerds presentation. Come and have fun showing off your best tuck and splash!
