Lifeguard Training
Learn the knowledge and skills needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies. The course content and activities prepare participants to recognize and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and prevent drownings and injury. |

Standard First Aid
Provides the citizen responder with the knowledge and skills necessary in an emergency to help sustain life and minimize the consequences of injury or sudden illness until advanced medical help arrives. Call for scheduling. |

Workplace CPR
Prepares your staff with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and provide basic care of injuries and sudden illnesses until advanced medical personnel arrive and take over. Call for scheduling. |

CPR/AED
Designed for
individuals with a duty to respond to emergencies, this program combines
discussions, video and hands-on training. Real-life rescue scenarios reinforce
decision-making skills. Free quarterly refreshers. Course covers how to respond
to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children and infants until more
advanced medical personnel take over. Topics include:
- Primary
assessment
- Ventilations (incl. use of
CPR breathing barriers and use of BVMs)
- Choking (incl. conscious and
unconscious)
- CPR (incl. one- and
two-rescuer)
- AED
- Optional training in use of
epinephrine auto-injectors and asthma inhalers available
Lifeguard/First
Aid Summary: If you’re 15 or older and looking for a great summer job or
challenging career that’s in demand, the Red Cross Lifeguarding program is the
place to start. Through videos, group discussion and hands-on practice, you’ll
learn patron rescue and surveillance skills, first aid and
CPR/AED. |

Blood Borne Pathogens
Train and provide individuals with an understanding of how to prevent exposure incidents by following work practice controls, using engineering controls and personal protective equipment and supplies; and to recognize, report and follow up on employee exposures to infectious materials. Call for scheduling. |

Administering Emergency Oxygen
Participants will receive the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to a victim of a breathing emergency using breathing devices, including resuscitation masks, bag-valve-mask resuscitators (BVMs) and emergency oxygen. Call for scheduling. |
